"So this is Christmas, and what have you done, another year over, a new one just begun. And so this Xmas, I hope you have fun, the near and the dear one, the old and the young. A merry merry Christmas, and happy New Year, let's hope it's a good one, without any fear." Yes, that was John Lennon's song from 1971, that I love listening to. For the words. I put it in a paragraph to save space. First let me start with a Happy Hanukah to all who participate in this beautiful time. Christmas is my favorite time of year. Traditions are big, but like most things in life, traditions change. Oh, we will try to keep them, but the old ones will be gone and new ones will appear. My Dad putting up decorations and tree lights like he was late for work. Oh, I'm sure my children think I carried on that tradition. Keeping the secret of the real Santa Claus from our children for as long as we could. Drinking eggnog while decorating. Christmas Eve dinner with Doris' family then relaxing on Christmas Day at my brother Mark's home listening to train stories, but also enjoying those wonderful cookies his wife, better known as Aunt Sharon, made. That was the hook, which made the drive worthwhile. But, those cookie recipes, were also part of a tradition from my Mom. Probably from her Mom too. Yes, there are plenty and I am sure you have your own. Look, we should never forget the true meaning of Christmas and I'm not going to preach about it. But, oh boy, isn't it fun opening those gifts on Christmas morning. So, you enjoy your holidays, whatever ones you celebrate and if for some reason I don't get to write anything in the next few weeks, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Talk to you in 26.
